Eva Hahn war so lieb, ihre Erfahrungen der Austauschwoche im Monat Juni 2011 auf Englisch aufzuschreiben:
I had a fantastic time in England, my family was very nice and their life pretty interesting, because it is so much different than mine. My favourite experience was the trip to London, of course. I think that city is pretty awesome! It's amazing not to hear about all those sights but to stand in front of them. Big Ben, for example, is so huge, and the Buckingham Palace gorgeous. But what I , as a girl, liked best was Oxford Street. All the shops, weird people, souvenir shops, and everywhere you look - busy people. And all that all day and all night long. Also, I loved it to see the English school. All those students, who wore just the same clothes and same type of shoes. It was a little scary to be just 8 guys with everyday clothes because that way everybody knew that you're not English. Well, and to move from room to room for every new lesson is quite strange. The teachers have their own room there and the students don't stay in one classroom. That's why it is also busy between the breaks. I think in that respect our system is a bit better and more relaxed. The second day I really loved was the day in Cromer. It is a town by the sea. First we went to a little museum, which told us about Cromer's history, especially about stories about the sea. When we had time to walk around, we went to the beach. It was a hot day and amazing! I couldn't believe it was the North Sea that we went in. The water was blue and absolutely not as grey as it is in Germany. Finally we visited the Lifeboat Station and saw an expensive, orange lifeboat. It is financed only by donations, and that is unbelievable. It was an awesome and interesting week and I learned more English than I am able to learn at school Eva Hahn |
